We’ve become a society far too interested in the supposed “perfection” of our women. hiding scars and lines and marks and bags. You are beautiful as you are… you rvery living is a BLESSING that makes me thankful that I have eyes that can still see you in your glory. I’m a very blessed man to simply be around you, let alone to visually capture the stories of your lives and the truth that is we all struggle and learn and evolve and grow… but women do it with such grace and poignant glowing that it simply defies the laws of the universe. No being should be so perfect.
Be not ashamed, but filled with the knowing that we thank you. We thank you for giving us beauty and strength and endurance and compassion and faith and will. we thank you for being WOMAN and knowing that is ENOUGH for us. We thank you for bearing us with your bodies and the stretch marks that result. They are more than just lins of time but they are a remembrance of the idea that YOU GAVE SOMEONE LIFE and that’s a gift thats worth every single mark in the world. your eyes, lined with fatigue from waiting up late for us to come home and just wanting to be near us. baggy from working long hours at a career and then raising a human being.
